MaskWright vs GoLogin
MaskWright and GoLogin take opposite approaches. One lives on your Windows PC. The other runs in the cloud. Here is what that means for your accounts, your budget, and your control.

I run browser profiles on a Windows box that sits on my desk. GoLogin runs profiles in the cloud. Both tools solve the same problem: keeping multiple accounts isolated so they do not share cookies, fingerprints, or session data. But the architecture difference changes everything else.
This is not a badge comparison. I am not counting features or screenshotting pricing tables. I am going to walk through what it means to trust a cloud service with your account sessions versus keeping them on your own hardware.
The core difference: where your profiles live
MaskWright stores every profile on your local disk. Encrypted. Under your control. When you close a profile, the data sits in a folder you can point at. You can back it up. You can move it to another drive. You know exactly where it is.

When cloud makes sense
GoLogin built a solid product. If you need any of these, their model fits:
- You work from multiple devices. A cloud profile launches from your laptop, your desktop, or a borrowed machine. The session follows you.
- You need team access. GoLogin lets you share profiles with team members and set permissions. An agency can hand a client profile to an account manager without exporting cookies.
- You want built-in proxies. GoLogin sells residential and mobile proxies inside the app. You do not need to source them separately.

- You do not want an account to launch the tool. MaskWright opens when you click it. No login, no verification, no landlord.

Pricing: free versus subscription
MaskWright is free. You download it, you run it, you create profiles limited only by your disk space and RAM. There is no monthly bill. There is no profile cap.
GoLogin uses a subscription model. Their free tier includes 3 profiles. Paid plans scale from 100 profiles to 1000 profiles, with team member limits and API rate limits increasing at each tier. The Business plan at 300 profiles is their most popular tier.
If you run 5 to 10 profiles for your own work, GoLogin's free tier might suffice. If you run 50 profiles for an ecommerce operation, you are on a paid plan. If you run 500 profiles, you are on an Enterprise plan.
MaskWright does not charge for profile count. Your limit is your hardware.
Privacy and data residency
This is the sharpest difference.
GoLogin stores your profile data on AWS. They use AES-256 encryption. They have firewalls and secure hosting. They are a legitimate company with a real security posture. But your data is on their servers.
MaskWright stores your profile data on your disk. Encrypted at rest. You control the backup. You control the encryption keys. You control who has physical access to the machine.
If you are managing accounts that represent real business value, ask yourself: do I want a second copy of these sessions in a cloud I do not control?
What MaskWright does not do
I am not going to pretend MaskWright matches GoLogin feature-for-feature. It does not. Here is what MaskWright does not offer:
- No cloud browser. You cannot launch a MaskWright profile from a different machine. The profile lives on this PC.
- No team seats. MaskWright does not have user management or permission systems. If you need to share a profile, you export cookies and import them on another machine. This is intentional. Team features require a server. We do not run a server.
- No built-in proxies. You bring your own HTTP or SOCKS5 proxies. We do not sell proxies. We do not bundle proxies.
- No mobile app. MaskWright is a Windows desktop app. We do not have an Android client. We do not emulate mobile fingerprints.
- No automation API. MaskWright does not expose a REST API for Selenium or Puppeteer. If you need automation, use the official APIs of the platforms you work with, or run scripts outside the profile rooms.
These are not oversights. They are design choices. We built a local tool for operators who want their sessions on their own hardware.
What GoLogin does not do
GoLogin does not offer a local-first architecture. Your profiles live in their cloud. You can download the desktop app, but the profile data syncs to their servers. If you want a tool that never phones home, never stores a second copy of your sessions, and never requires an account to launch, GoLogin is not that tool.

I built MaskWright because I wanted a local antidetect browser. A tool that sits on my Windows box, stores profiles in a folder I control, and does not require an account to launch. GoLogin built a cloud service because their users need cross-device access, team collaboration, and built-in proxies.
Both products are legitimate. Both solve real problems. The question is not which is better. The question is where you want your account sessions to live.
If you want them on your own hardware, MaskWright is the tool. If you want them in the cloud with team access and built-in proxies, GoLogin is the tool.
